Independence is self-reliance,
But, with compliance.

It was assembled upon patriotism and intrepidity,
Are we losing its serenity?

"73 years of independence",
Perhaps, just a sentence.

Today, a paragon of virtue we aim to be,
Tomorrow, a self-standing country, we will see.

Letting go is merciful,
But freedom is beautiful.

Peace is freedom and,
Freedom isn't free, may we never forget that!

Pledging to be less prejudiced,
Pledging to be more tolerant.
